The Warmth of the Setting Sun

The cheetah is one of my favourite art subjects. With a scene such as this one, the warm
light is the real attraction; it is too exciting to ignore. When I paint anything, the light is at the
forefront of my mind all the time. I often use looser backgrounds, but it must "read" correctly
from a slight distance. The detail on the cheetah creates a focus and contrast to the creative
brushwork around it.
