The Legend, Bahati

This is a well known female leopard in the Maasai Mara in Kenya. Her name is "Bahati" and
she is one of the Maasai Mara's most successful mothers. She has also starred in the BBC
Big Cat Diary TV series. I have seen her several times, very close to the camp we were
staying at. All the cats in Africa are a staple diet for my art - I have been painting them for
many years and I especially enjoy painting dappled light, so when this scene appeared, I
was in my element!
