Born in 1941, Wilf Roberts was raised in the Mynydd Bodafon area of Anglesey. In 1962 he moved to Croydon where he taught art and studied part time at Croydon Art College . In 1974 he returned to Anglesey to work in Local Government and Education and, although not exhibiting for many years, he continued to paint, donating work, illustrating and designing posters for national charities, until retiring in 1996 to devote his time to painting. His work is held in public and private collections in Paris, New York, Australia and the UK.
